It's always helpful to have something published that takes one piece of the mystery out of trying a new method, like multi-mode surveys. Are you thinking of some kind of weighted response rate? I feel that we, survey methodologists a...Nice post! I feel that we, survey methodologists and statisticians, might have become too dismissive of the importance of the response rates. Indeed, they are not indication of nonresponse bias by themselves, but they are still a component of such bias. I think that your points are very important, and that RR should still be computed for every survey.
